What this shows: a double of two short-priced favourites is the closest thing to a steady multiple. Even so, one in two of our doubles at 1.40 to 1.80 lost a leg. Adding legs raises the payout faster than it raises your chances, which is why the return column barely moves while the hit rate drops.
Method: every day since 3 July 2026 (4,859 matches) we took the shortest-priced selections inside the odds range, one per match, from match result, double chance, goal lines and both teams to score, with the bookmaker odds before kick-off. Each acca was settled on the shortest-priced legs of the day inside the range. "Landed" = share of days every leg won, "Return" = profit or loss per acca at a level stake. The same rules pick our daily acca tips.
How a double works
A double combines two selections in one bet. The odds are multiplied: 2.10 x 1.80 gives total odds of 3.78. Both selections have to win. If one is void, the bet becomes a single on the other selection.
Worked example
A double at 2.10 and 1.80 with a stake of 10:
| Outcome | Return | Profit |
|---|---|---|
| Both win | 37.80 | +27.80 |
| 2.10 wins, 1.80 void | 21.00 | +11.00 |
| One loses | 0.00 | -10.00 |
Adding a third selection? Use the treble calculator, or the acca calculator for four or more.
Each way double
An each way double is two bets: a win double and a place double, each at your stake. If both selections win, both parts pay; if one wins and the other only places, the win double loses and the place double still pays at the place odds. Tick each way in the calculator to see both parts.

โ FAQ
How are double odds calculated?
Multiply the decimal odds of both selections. 2.00 and 2.50 give total odds of 5.00.
What if one selection is void?
It counts as odds of 1.00, so the double pays out as a single on the other selection.
Is a double better than two singles?
A double pays more when both win, but nothing when one loses. Two singles still return something with one winner.
What is an each way double?
Two doubles in one: a win double on both selections to win and a place double on both to place. It costs twice your stake.
