What this shows: a Lucky 15 almost never leaves you with nothing, because the singles and doubles pay out as soon as one or two legs win. But paying out is not the same as winning. On short-priced legs (1.20 to 1.40) the Lucky 15 was only in profit on 44.8% of days, exactly the days all four legs won; on the other days the singles and doubles softened the loss without covering the 15 stakes. Over the whole period every way of backing the same four selections ended close to break-even, because each bet carries the same bookmaker margin. A Lucky 15 does not change the odds, it spreads your stake over more outcomes.
Method: every day since 3 July 2026 (4,859 matches) we took the shortest-priced selections inside the odds range, one per match, from match result, double chance, goal lines and both teams to score, with the bookmaker odds before kick-off. Every bet type was settled on the same four legs per day at 1 unit per bet. "Paid out" = share of days with any return, "In profit" = share of days the return beat the total stake, "Return" = profit or loss over the whole period at 1 unit per bet. The same rules pick our daily acca tips.
What is a Lucky 15?
A Lucky 15 is a full-cover bet on four selections. It consists of 15 bets: 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 fourfold accumulator. Because the singles are included, one winner is enough for a return. A Lucky 15 at 1 per bet costs 15; each way it costs 30.
Worked example
Four selections at 2/1, 3/1, 5/2 and 6/4 (decimal 3.00, 4.00, 3.50 and 2.50), 1 per bet, so 15 in total:
| Winners | Return | Profit |
|---|---|---|
| All four | 314.00 | +299.00 |
| First three (6/4 loses) | 89.00 | +74.00 |
| First two | 19.00 | +4.00 |
| Only the 2/1 | 3.00 | -12.00 |
With all four winning, the singles return 13.00, the doubles 62.75, the trebles 133.25 and the fourfold 105.00. Each way at 1/4 odds the same four winners return 355.86 on a stake of 30.
Lucky 15 or Yankee?
A Yankee also covers four selections, but without the singles: 11 bets instead of 15. It is cheaper, but you need at least two winners for any return. Pick the Yankee in the calculator above to compare both bets with your own odds.
Lucky 15 bonuses
Many bookmakers add bonuses to a Lucky 15: double or treble odds when only one selection wins, and an extra 10% to 20% on the total return when all four win. The calculator shows the standard return. To add a single-winner bonus yourself, multiply that single's return by the bonus factor; for an all-four bonus, add the percentage to the total return.

โ FAQ
How many bets are in a Lucky 15?
15 bets: 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 fourfold accumulator on four selections.
How much does a Lucky 15 cost?
15 times your stake per bet. At 1 per bet that is 15, and each way it is 30, because every bet is placed twice.
What happens if one selection loses?
Every bet that includes the losing selection loses. The other bets still pay out: with three winners out of four you keep 3 singles, 3 doubles and 1 treble.
What if a selection is void or a non-runner?
The void selection counts as odds of 1.00. Its single returns the stake, and the doubles, trebles and fourfold that include it continue at the odds of the other selections.
Are Lucky 15 bonuses included?
No. Many bookmakers pay double or treble odds on a single winner, or a bonus when all four win. These offers differ per bookmaker, so the calculator shows the standard return.
Is a Lucky 15 a good bet?
It lowers the chance of losing everything, because one winner is enough for a return. It does not lower the bookmaker margin. On our own picks a Lucky 15 almost always paid something back, but it was only in profit on the days all four selections won.
